FlipDog Opens in Shoreditch Following High Profile Launch
Seeing a project go from an initial property search to opening day is always rewarding, and we're delighted to see FlipDog officially open its doors at Imperial Hall on City Road.
The new venue, founded by hospitality entrepreneurs Artem Skapenko and Alex Kostenyuk, has already generated significant industry attention, with features appearing across major hospitality and lifestyle publications ahead of launch. Publications including Time Out, Hot Dinners, The Drinks Business and The Upcoming highlighted the venue's distinctive approach to cocktails, design and guest experience.
Located moments from Old Street station, FlipDog is a two-level cocktail destination that places technique at the heart of the guest experience. The drinks programme is led by internationally experienced bartender Igor Brovko and includes a range of method-led cocktails featuring everything from fermentation and carbonation through to the historic "loggerhead" technique, where a heated iron poker is used to transform flavour and texture. The food menu draws inspiration from both Asian and Eastern European cuisines, creating a distinctive offering that complements the drinks programme.
What makes this team particularly exciting is their ability to create concepts that are tailored to the location rather than simply rolling out the same formula. Every project is approached with a fresh perspective, resulting in venues that feel unique to their surroundings while remaining commercially compelling.
